Authentic Products: : How can I be sure that I purchased an original Museum garment?

Authentic Museum products are sold exclusively through Authorized Museum retailers, all of whom are listed on this website. With products made from spring summer 2011 and on you can also check the authenticity of your Museum product on the website www.certilogo.com and typing the CLG code written inside the garment. Check how on certlogo.com or in the Certilogo section on this website.

Buying Museum products: : Where can I find Museum garments?

In this site you can find the list of the retailers in which you can find our products. In addition you can see where to find (if not out of stock) every single product in the map next to his picture.

Cleaning: : how do I wash a Museum product?

Every Museum product has the label on which you can see the washing instructions for the product. If not evident the label could be inside one of the pocket (generally the interior pocket). Museum doesn’t know any dry or normal cleaner in particular in which to wash his products. Turn to the one you prefer.

Fur Policy: : what is your fur policy?

All our furs are “In conformity with the convention of Washington regarding the kinds of protected animals,(ratified in Italy with action no874 dated December 19th 1975 and following integrations). In conformity with the circular EEC no348/81 dated January 20th 1981 (skins not treated with whales'oil or other cetaceans). In conformity with the ordinance made on December 21st 2001 of the health office, published on the official gazette no7 dated January 9th 2002.”

Performance: : what are the technical features of Museum garments?

All our garments are made to guarantee comfort and performance. For this reason our fabrics, production technique and accessories have been carefully chosen and tested with the best suppliers in the world.

Down: the down used by Museum is a 90/10 duck down Japanese standard and it’s chosen form the best suppliers in the world. You can check this by testing its fluffiness, lightness and shield from cold.

Direct Down: some of our products are made with the direct down technique. This means that down is introduced directly in the main downproof fabric padding, therefore without using the down bag. The jackets will be extremely soft, breathable, and light but it will keep all the performance in shelter from cold.

Fill Power: Fill power is a measure of the fluffiness and performance of a down product. The higher is the the higher is the shelter that down can create to isolate from outside cold. Check the product form on this site to find the fill power of Museum products.

Padding: some of Museum jackets are insulated with padding. Even in the choice of this technology Museum demands an extreme attention for as it matters softness and performance. For the best Museum products we use Thermore® : technology used since 1972 by the most famous athletes and climbers.

Ramar evolution: ramar is a particular fabric made of 60% cotton and 40% nylon famous for its durability and quality used for historical American outdoor garments. Museum proposes a new one made of 70& cotton and 30% nylon with a foil to make it waterproof, breathable and even more resistant.

Breathability: breathability is a feature very often underestimated in the choice of a jacket but it’s fundamental for the comfort and the performance. Breathable fabrics used for Museum products make them extremely comfortable because, letting the thermal exchange happen, guarantee a perfect warm sensation.

Production: : who makes Museum garments?

Museum products are made in different countries all over the world as the technique asked for. Our suppliers are specialized in outdoor technical garments and chosen from the best in the world to guarantee the maximum durability and performance possible.

Warranty/Damages: : I have a problem with a Museum garments, what can I do?

Museum products respect the law D.Lgs24/2002 about product warranty. The return MUST be done only through the reseller in which you bought the garment and the shipping back will be done at the same reseller. We can’t in any case accept garments directly from the final customer.
The warranty does not include damages caused by accidents, negligence, improper use, normal wear and tear. We can’t supply spare parts either for free or with payment in case they would be lost or in any case.
For any doubt we ask you to contact the reseller in which you bought the garment who will contact our customer care.

Prices: : what are the prices of Museum products?

You can ask for recommended prices filling the customer service form on this site. Being recommended prices we can’t insure that they will be the same used by the resellers.
